![]() ![]() Advanced Wheel Settingsīelow are the tunable settings for wheel users. This makes the car somewhat less agile than with Simulation steering, but also more stable. The Normal steering assist may make FFB feel “sharper” because it influences the yaw inertia of the car to help maintain control during rapid lock-to-lock steering situations. The input layers of these systems are turned off any time you use a wheel, regardless of the steering setting. Simulation Steering turns these systems off. There are multiple systems layered together to create Normal steering. Forza is known for being controllable and natural on a gamepad and these systems are a major component of that feeling. Having the option to choose between “Normal” or “Simulation” steering is the assists menu is one of the reasons so many players of different skill levels can enjoy Forza games, whether using a gamepad or a wheel. This is a commonly misunderstood setting, so it’s important to give this a read. ![]() You can adjust this in the game's Steering Sensitivity slider in the Advanced Wheel Settings section below. On the PC you can run 540 degrees from software, but the steering lock in game remains unchanged, so your ratio would differ from the default. I believe it fixed any control issues, but I haven’t done much testing yet.We recommend that you always start with default settings in your wheel profiler before you start the game, including overall force feedback gain and rotation angle. Instead, just hit Esc on your keyboard or B on your controller.Īnd that should be it! That fixed the flickering of the HUD when I wouldn’t input anything from the controller. In fact, if you have a steam game running, it will prompt you that a game running and you’ll be asked if you want to force close. I assume it affects the x360 controller due to xinput/xout (forgot the name of it)ĭon’t close out of this using the windows ‘X’ in the top right. This will disable the steam mappings for an xbox controller. You can use your xbox controller or mouse to navigate here. I am using an xbox one controller with wireless adapter, win 10, steam with build.įrom steam desktop, go to steam>settings>controller>general controller settings. I hope it helps others out there, and sorry if it doesn’t still for some. ![]() I also was having the same issue, but found a fix that worked for me. If someone has a workaround for this I really appreciate it! This is weird because it never happened on the other 2 Forzas installed on my PC, they just recognize the pad as a regular x360 pad, so I guess that something wasn’t carried over from previous games. It’s becoming impossible to play… I’ve tried turning off my mouse and keyboard to no success However I can set the controller up and when I go racing it’s like if the brake is always pressed because the front wheels get locked up almost instantly when I try to steer. To my surprise, when I try to navigate through the menus pressing any buttons on my controller (Saitek P990) the controller “options” on the lower right corner appear (Indicating that the game switched to “controller input mode”) but as soon as I stop pressing the button the game shows the keyboard options again, like if I was pressing any key (Enter to accept, esc to go back, etc). So I did what I usually do when I fire up any Forza (Apex or Horizon) on my PC, I open xoutoput and then the game. So I downloaded the Demo today to try the game before launch, I was just too impatient to wait on more week. ![]()
